Blakeland Construction Receives Department of Homeland Security Award

Blakeland Construction was selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to receive the 2019 DHS Small Business Achievement Award for supporting the FLETC mission. Blakeland was one of 16 small businesses selected throughout all DHS locations. Employees critical to the project traveled to Washington DC for an awards ceremony.

As quoted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, “Blakeland supported the FLETC mission by successfully pricing and delivering two fast track projects for the Specialized Services Branch, Mission and Readiness Support Directorate, Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers located in Glynco, Georgia. Blakeland was recognized for delivering projects with high quality while striving to meet budget parameters. They encourage their team to find better quality products and trades for every project. Blakeland rewards the field teams that can improve the individual project and the construction experience for FLETC Glynco as well as the users that will occupy the space. They strive to add value to every project, every time. Blakeland deserves to be recognized for their efforts”.
